Hints for researching your project

Great! You are doing a project or assignment on our land or water resources.

Here are some hints on how to find information to answer your questions:

 

Are you after facts and figures?
Try the Australian Natural Resources Atlas.

 

Are you after research information? Or to find out what research is being undertaken?
Try searching our products catalogue using your topic as a keyword, or browse our research programs.

 

Are you after more detailed research information?
Have a look at the publications we have on-line at the bookshop.

 

Do you have a broad research topic?
Or, if you have a broad research topic you are interested in, then have a look at one of our program websites, in topics such as rivers; irrigation; salinity; climate or native vegetation.

 

Can't find what you are looking for?
Consider exploring the following websites:

 

Check your local library
Don't forget to try your local library and other sources of information.

Send us an email

If you wish you may send us an email. Make sure you have a specific questions and include:

  1. Your full name and contact details.
  2. Your teacher's name, email address and school, or if at university, your lecturer, their email address, your course and institution.
  3. Include a clear description in the 'subject' line.
  4. Only ask specific questions that you can't find the answer to elsewhere. We will not do your assignment or project for you.
  5. The answer may take a couple of weeks to come back.
