Leslie M Perrott / ISS Institute Overseas Fellowship

Since 1989 International Specialised Skills Institute Inc (ISS Institute), an independent, national organisation, has identified skill deficiencies through our market research , then fills them through its Overseas Skill Acquisition Plan (Fellowship Program) and and consultancy services.

Applicants are invited to submit an application detailing what they believe is a significant skill gap in their industry.
The successful applicant is awarded $10,000 in order to travel overseas to acquire that skill/knowledge.
This year's Fellowship Program is targetting applications from the Environment and Sustainability sector as well as Urban Design and Planning.

The ISS Institute is particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals who will use the Fellowship to improve their skills in the following areas

  • Control of weed infestation, particularly relating to the control of blackberries and related species
  • Sustainability of river systems such as river headwater systems,
  • Environmental design
  • Alternative energy
  • Resources such as water, land
  • Other sustainability and environment issues
