Land & Water Australia is changing the emphasis of its former annual General Call for R&D projects to high innovation. This change is to balance its primarily applied R&D program funding with some 'blue sky' research.

While we will continue to maintain a strongly applied portfolio, this Innovation Call is explicitly seeking higher risk and potentially higher return projects. High risk refers to less certainty in achieving outputs and outcomes.

We are actively pursuing genuine new ideas, concepts, processes and/or creative ways of utilising existing knowledge and generating new knowledge to improve the sustainability of Australia's rural landscapes and industries.
