Land & Water Australia (LWA) invites proposals from suitably qualified organisations to work with LWA, the National Water Commission and State and Territory jurisdictions on activities to improve water planning in Australia.
LWA in conjunction with the National Water Commission, is undertaking a project titled Water Planning Processes: lessons, gaps and adoption. With funding in the order of $1 million being provided under the Raising National Water Standards Program the project aims to improve the way in which water planning is undertaken across Australia, by developing case studies of good practice water planning that inform broader water planning processes.
The successful proponent will be required to work with relevant jurisdictions to trial a range of activities in water planning including good practice tools, decision support systems and processes targeted to address key issues in selected catchments.
Terms of Reference, a proposal form and a copy of LWA's standard Consultancy Agreement can be found below. Technical enquiries should be directed to Brendan Edgar (or phone 0419 781 676).
Proposals must be submitted by 5pm (AEST), Friday 23rd May 2008 to:
waterplanning@lwa.gov.au
In addition to an electronic submission, five hard copies are required, to be posted to the Land & Water Australia offices (address below) for receipt early week commencing Monday 26th May.
